Some Revolutions that should receive some credit for progress in the long struggle toward greater democracy are The Belgian Revolution of 1830, The Polish Revolution of 1830, and The French Revolution of 1848. From these Revolutions there was gained independence, inspiration given to other countries to fight for independence, and an issued constitution.
The Belgian Revolution should have some credit because it gained its independence. During this Revolution there was an economic fuse between Belgium and France. It became difficult for Belgium to gain independence because it was controlled by Holland. Therefore, Belgium wanted two separate countries and eventually gained its independence. Credit should be given because shows that Belgium was prepared, wouldn't give up, and was one of many that gained independence.
The Polish should also have some credit because it inspired other countries to fight for independence. Poland was controlled by Prussia, Austria, and Russian and never gained its independence. The Revolution should get credit because even though it never gained it never was independent it was able to inspire other countries to fight for independence and made other countries independent.
The French Revolution should be given credit because it issued a constitution. The French wanted a Democracy, wanted more jobs, and as a result many lost jobs. Although Louis Napoleon became emperor after become president from 9 million people, it was because voting rights were gained. It should have some credit because having the right vote and that was the first step toward Democracy.
Additionally, from the evidence above this shows some Revolutions should receive some credit. The revolutions was some examples for progress in the long struggle toward greater democracy.
